Business Site Intelligence Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 23, 2026
Business Site Intelligence ("BSI," "we," "our," or "us") is a business research and decision-support service designed to help users evaluate potential business locations using demographic, market, competition, workforce, geographic, and other relevant information.
This Privacy Policy explains the information BSI collects and uses when you use Business Site Intelligence, including the BSI iOS application and related BSI services.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create or use a BSI account, we may collect and maintain information necessary to create, authenticate, manage, and support your account. This includes your email address and an internal user identifier associated with your account.
Business-Location and Analysis Information
When you request an analysis, you provide information about the business opportunity you want to research. Depending on the analysis, this may include:
- A business address or other business-location information
- Geographic coordinates derived from the location being analyzed
- Business type or category
- Selected market radius
- Search and analysis parameters
- Completed analyses and related results
The location entered into BSI is treated as a business location being researched. BSI does not require your device's physical location to perform a standard business-site analysis.
Completed analyses and related information may remain associated with your BSI account so that BSI can provide, maintain, and support the service.
Purchase and Subscription Information
When you make an in-app purchase or subscription through Apple's App Store, Apple processes the payment transaction.
BSI receives and maintains transaction and entitlement information necessary to verify purchases, provide purchased analysis credits or subscription access, restore eligible purchases, and maintain the appropriate access associated with your BSI account.
BSI does not receive or store your full payment-card information for purchases processed through Apple's App Store.
2. How We Use Information
BSI uses information collected through the service to:
- Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure user accounts
- Perform requested business-location analyses
- Provide and maintain analysis results associated with an account
- Verify purchases and subscriptions and provide corresponding access or analysis credits
- Restore eligible purchases
- Maintain account and usage records
- Provide customer support
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and protect the BSI service
- Comply with applicable legal and operational requirements
BSI does not use your email address, BSI user identifier, or Apple purchase history for cross-app or cross-website advertising tracking.
3. Information Used to Perform Analyses
BSI compiles information from governmental, public, commercial, and third-party data sources to produce requested analyses.
To obtain information needed for an analysis, BSI may transmit limited information such as the business location being researched, geographic coordinates, business category, geographic search area, or related search parameters to services used to perform or support the analysis.
These services may include providers of geocoding, demographic, workforce, economic, business-location, geographic, mapping, competition, and other information required by a particular analysis.
BSI does not sell your business-location searches, completed analyses, or business research to advertisers, competitors, or other third parties for their independent marketing or commercial use.
4. Service Providers and External Services
BSI relies on service providers and external data sources to operate the service.
For example, BSI uses account and authentication infrastructure to manage user accounts and uses Apple services to process and verify eligible iOS purchases. BSI also accesses governmental, public, commercial, and third-party data services when information from those sources is required to perform a requested analysis.
Information provided to these services is limited to information reasonably necessary for the applicable function.
Third-party services may process information according to their own privacy practices and legal obligations.
5. Advertising and Tracking
BSI does not use your email address, BSI user identifier, or Apple purchase history for targeted advertising or for tracking you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
BSI does not sell your business research to advertisers for targeted advertising purposes.
6. Data Retention
BSI retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and maintain the service, maintain applicable account, transaction, entitlement, and usage records, meet operational and security needs, resolve disputes, and satisfy applicable legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it is maintained.
7. Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your BSI account using the Delete Account feature available within the application.
Account deletion removes the BSI account and associated account data according to BSI's account-deletion process, subject to information that may need to be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction-record, or other legitimate operational requirements.
Deleting your BSI account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed through Apple. Apple subscriptions must be managed through your Apple subscription settings.
8. Data Security
BSI uses reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information associated with the service against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, BSI cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
Business Site Intelligence is intended as a business research and decision-support service and is not designed for children.
BSI does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through the service. If we learn that personal information from a child has been collected in circumstances where it should not have been, we will take appropriate steps to address the information.
10. Your Choices
Depending on how you use BSI, you may:
- Manage certain account information through the service
- Delete your BSI account using the in-app account-deletion feature
- Manage Apple subscriptions through Apple's subscription settings
- Contact BSI regarding privacy questions or concerns
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
